Mike Alfaro The New Jersey KAPMMA Amateur Undisputed Cruiserweight Champ, he won his 1st Title December 18,2009. Before the first KAPMMA Amateur MMA event, instructor Jerry Jones was asked which of his fighters he wanted to participate in the KAPMMA promotion, his first choice was Mike Alfaro. The only concern was that Mike was making his MMA debut and the fighter he would be matched with had already had several fights. Any concerns his fans may have had were quickly put to rest when at 1:49 sec. of the 1st round Mike won by a submission over Collis Marques via a text book arm-bar. With that win over a more experience opponet Mike sent a message to anyone foolish enough to take him lightly, hailing from Rahway, New Jersey. Ht:5'10, Wt:190, the 26 year old Mike Alfaro list veterans tank Abbott and the 'Iceman' Chuck Liddel as his favorite fighters. With a flare for showmanship last demonstrated by the Liddel style Mohawk he sported in his close bout with Tajuddin Hakim, Mike is a promoters's dream and on his way to realizing his dream of being one of the better MMA pros from the Garden State.
